Triple Digital partners with Ajax Amsterdam
AFC Ajax, the biggest soccer club of The Netherlands, has signed Triple as their new digital partner.
This, as the two companies seek to improve the digital AFC Ajax fan experience through a new app (iOS and Android) and a new website. The new platforms create the optimal digital service for the fans of the most innovative soccer club in The Netherlands.
Personalization will be central to the new digital strategy. Fulfilling the personal needs of all kinds of AFC Ajax fans is noticeable throughout the customer journey, from the announcement, run-up, start, and end of a match. The challenge is to find a balance between creating a connection and driving conversion.
The first step into translating the new digital strategy was the launch of the new mobile apps, that will be further expanded with new features in the coming months of 2020. Aside from the expected functionalities such as the latest news, a live scoreboard, tickets and the fan shop, AFC Ajax takes the fan experience to a higher level with “King of the Match”. This allows fans to vote for their favorite player of the match. Another exciting feature that fans are able to use during a match is Be the Director, giving fans in the Johan Cruijff Arena the opportunity to rewatch moments of the current match.
Recently, AFC Ajax launched the new Ajax.nl: a starting point for national and international fans of the biggest club of The Netherlands. Besides a fresh UI that smoothly translates the new AFC Ajax brand, the new website focuses on personalized content, shows the latest news, teams and club information and includes a fan- and ticket shop. The introduction of a customized CMS makes the Ajax.nl platform super user friendly, both on the front and the back, more scalable and future-proof.
